After yesterday's matches at the central court, over 80 children and tennis fans squared off against four skilled players: Ajla Tomljanovic, Johanna Larsson, Aleksandra Krunic and Tena Lukas.
Children from the Unisport sportschool in Bol, amongst whom was the youngest participant - 3-year-old Stela Palavra, were accompanied with 50 more children who arrived on a day-trip from Medjugorje. Those were the members of the sports club "Medjugorje" and the Sportland Academy that is supported by Marin Cilic, Ivan Dodig and Tokislav Brkic. They were led by the academy founder Zeljko Dodig and their coaches.
"This is a big project and an excellent opportunity for our children to enjoy in this beautiful environment"-said Zeljko Dodig who announced they will be returning the next year for a multi-day trip"
Strength on the court was significantly on the children side who managed to win against the pros. Their goal was to hit over the net all at once where pros who had to return them stood no chance.
"I always like to participate on Kid's day especially at home when we can bond better. Honestly, I have never seen as many children on the Kid's day" - said Ajla Tomljanovic who left the court last due to all the autograph requests.
