Bacsinszky and Minella doubles winners, Zidanšek and Sorribes Tormo in singles final!

After one hour and 32 minutes at 35 °C the tournament doubles winner are Timea Bacsinszky and Mandy Minella.

Lister, the top seed of the tournament in doubles and Voracova won the first set easily. However, Swiss-Luxembourgish pair managed to save the second set and eventually defied the Swedish-Czech couple and the final result was 0-6, 6-7 (3-7), 4-10 for Bacsinszky-Minella. The match was delayed for 20 minutes due to bee attack, and it took place on Krašov court.

"I am very happy, today's match was very difficult. The beginning wasn’t so good, but in the end, we gave everything we could, "said Timea Bacsinszky.

"I will come back to Croatia Bol Open, I will be back as long as you organize it. People are great, the organization is great and we’ll see each other again, "said Mandy Minella, the winner of the Croatia Bol Opena 2016. This is her third time at Bol. In the end, she added, "And yes, today is Timeas birthday today!"

The organization knew that, so the volunteers and ball collectors sang ‘Happy Birthday’ song. She, with her partner, gave herself the most beautiful gift - a doubles victory at Croatia Bol Open 2019.

In the final singles on Sunday at 20:30, Tamara Zidanšek will play against Sara Sorribes Tormo.

The whole tennis arena was cheering for the young sensation from Slovenia, Kaj Juvan (WTA 131), who won the heart of the Croatian audience. After nearly two hours, top seed tournament player, Tamara Zidanšek, also from Slovenia, and last year's winner, won (Tamara Zidanšek, WTA - 60). The final result was 2-6, 7-5, 7-5. In the third set Kaja's lead with 4-0, but experienced Tamara in 20 minutes returned into the game and after 5-3 Kaja could only watch as her advantage was melting away.

"Our country is small and it is a great thing when at a tournament two strong contenders are participating. I knew this is going to be the toughest match so far. At 5-3 in the third set, I knew I had to do my best. Congratulations to Kaji! ", said Tamara Zidanšek.

The singles final will be played at the main court at Bluesun tennis centreSorribes Tormo who won against  Zlatni rat at island Brač on Sunday, June 9th at 20:00 h (8:00 pm). Before the final match Croatian music diva, Nina Badrić will perform. The awards ceremony will be accompanied by world-famous pianist, Lola Astanova.
